 D.A. Carson

D.A. Carson

 D.A. Carson is research professor of New Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois. He has been at Trinity since 1978. Carson came to Trinity from the faculty of Northwest Baptist Theological Seminary in Vancouver, British Columbia, where he also served for two years as academic dean. He has served as assistant pastor and pastor and has done itinerant ministry in Canada and the United Kingdom. Carson received the Bachelor of Science in chemistry from McGill University, the Master of Divinity from Central Baptist Seminary in Toronto, and the Doctor of Philosophy in New Testament from the University of Cambridge. Carson is an active guest lecturer in academic and church settings around the world. He has written or edited about sixty books. He is a founding member and currently president of The Gospel Coalition. Carson and his wife, Joy, reside in Libertyville, Illinois. They have two adult children.

Doriani

Dan Doriani

 Dr. Daniel Doriani is Professor of Theology and Vice President of Strategic Academic Projects at Covenant Theological Seminary, where he also served as Dean of Faculty and Professor of New Testament. He also has fifteen years of pastoral experience, principally as Senior Pastor of Central Presbyterian Church, a large university church in St. Louis. Doriani earned graduate degrees from Westminster Theological Seminary and Yale University, where he was also a research fellow. Doriani is a council member and regular blogger for The Gospel Coalition He has written thirteen books on Scripture, hermeneutics, and gender and family issues and has contributed to eight others. he and his wife Deborah, a musician, have three daughters, Abigail, Sarah, and Beth.

 Matt Anderson

Matt Anderson

 Matthew Lee Anderson is a writer and doctoral candidate in Christian Ethics at Oxford University. He is the founder of Mere Orthodoxy, and the author of Earthen Vessels: Why our Body Matters to our Faith, and The End of our Exploring: A Book about Questioning and the Confidence of Faith. Anderson is currently pursuing a D.Phil. in Christian Ethics from Oxford University, having received his M.Phil. in 2014. He is also a Perpetual Member of Biola University’s Torrey Honors Institute.

Sauls Scott

Scott Sauls

Scott Sauls is husband to Patti, dad to Abby and Ellie, and serves as senior pastor of Christ Presbyterian Church in Nashville, TN. Prior to Nashville, Scott was a lead and preaching pastor at New York City's Redeemer Presbyterian Church. He has also planted two churches in Kansas City and Saint Louis, taught homiletics at Covenant Theological Seminary, and has authored two books, Jesus Outside the Lines and Befriend (releases October, 2016). 

 Suzanne Bates

Suzanne Bates

 Suzanne Bates (MAC ’99) brings a wealth of experience from the counseling field into the classroom as adjunct professor of practical theology (counseling) at Covenant Seminary. She has been a counselor at New City Fellowship in St. Louis for more than a decade. She serves Covenant students with the wisdom she has gleaned as she shepherds them through counseling courses and leads a counseling internship group. Suzanne also serves as the Seminary’s associate dean of students.

 Bedenbaugh

Jeremy Bedenbaugh

 Jeremy Bedenbaugh is the Lead Pastor of The Journey, a large and diverse congregation in the City of St Louis.  He is also one of the visionaries behind starting a TGC chapter in St. Louis. He received his Master of Divinity Degree with high honors from Covenant Theological Seminary in 2005. Since that time, he has served multiple churches in various capacities. Jeremy is married to Amy, also a Covenant grad (M.A.C '04) and they have 3 children, Jude (10), Samuel (7), and Kharis (4).

 Travis Marshall

Travis Stewart

 Travis Stewart has been a Licensed Professional Counselor in St. Louis since 2005, and is the owner of Revision Recovery Coaching.  His counseling approach is relational and creative, helping people understand their story while also building hope for the future. He was the visionary for the annual Hungry for Hope Conference, a Christian based conference which provides training and help for both professionals and lay people in the treatment of eating disorders. An excellent communicator and teacher, Travis is a regular consultant to FINDINGbalance and has spoken at schools such as Pepperdine University, Baylor, Washington University, and graduate schools and seminaries on the topic of eating disorders and body image. He was also a presenter at an international conference on eating disorders in 2008 in Budapest, Hungary.

 Jim Wallace

Jim Wallace

 Jim is the Executive Director of Three Fourteen Institute. He is graced by his wife and two daughters, Tracie, Kathryn and Ellie. The Lord has led him on a winding, global journey as cross-cultural missionary, theological educator and organizational leader. Highlights of the last few years include eldering at The Journey and teaching theology at Saint Louis University. Jim has a B.A from the University of Texas. He also earned M.A. and Th.M. degrees (with high honors) from Dallas Theological Seminary, where he was recognized as the outstanding graduate in Historical Theology. Currently, Jim is a Ph.D. candidate at Concordia Seminary, focusing on exegetical theology and spirituality in Early Christianity.

 John Perkins

John Perkins

 

John Perkins is the chef/owner of Juniper restaurant in the Central West End neighborhood of St. Louis. He graduated in '09 with an Masters of Divinity from Covenant Seminary. When he is not at the restaurant, he is helping his wife Lindsay wrangle their five kids.
